ROAR OF THE RINGS
The Roar of the Rings took place in Winnipeg December 1-8. The men's Olympic team is the Jacob's team from the Sault who went undefeated all week. The Jennifer Jones team from Winnipeg won on the women's side. Both teams will be excellent representatives from Canada in Sochi Russia.
Jane Duff has donated a handmade quilt to be raffled off. Tickets are 3 for $5 at the bar. Buy tickets & support the PCC!!!
IMPORTANT NOTICE We have experienced some thefts of cell phones, wallets & car keys in the past couple of weeks-mainly from unattended coat pockets & sports bags. Lock up all your belongings & make sure there is nothing left in your pockets. You can take your wallets, phones, purses onto the ice as well. If you see someone wandering around report this to the bar or question them as to why they are there. That alone may cause them to leave & stop a potential theft.
The Pembroke Fall Cash Spiel took place Nov 22-24. There were 14 teams from out of town along with 10 teams from the PCC. The Carl Zieroth team was the A winner along with Dave Steele, Steve Gorski & John Brousseau. Pictures & names of the other winners can be found on the winners link above. Many thanks again to all the volunteers who helped in the kitchen & bar & "behind the scenes".
The Master Men's zone 3 competition took place Mon. Nov 18-Wed. Nov 20. There were 10 teams entered and the Dwayne Lowe team from the Huntley CC are the A winners and the Emile Robert team from our very own PCC are the B winners. Both teams advance to the Regionals in Russell Dec 7-8. Good luck boys!! You can find the draw here.

The fourth annual President's Memorial Bonspiel in honour of former president Al Gray took place Oct. 26-27. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out and to Ralph Kendrick for all the good food. The Gray family was on hand watching & playing. Steve Gray, son of Al Gray, brought his team from Arnprior to compete. We have a new logo, designed by Paul Robert, a professional graphic designer presently the head designer for the Canadian Medical Association. The logo gives us a clean, modern look with ties to the past of Pembroke and the Ottawa Valley with the pointer boat sitting at the tee line.
